Edwin & Ida May Strunk Family
        
        
            On November 10, 1886 Edwin Mile Strunk and 
                Ida May Carpenter were married in Nebraska. They lived on Edwin's homestead
            and prepared to raise a family.
        
            On the 28th of June, 1885, Edwin and Ida May were blessed with their first son,
            Homer J. Strunk. This was followed by a daughter Cecil Strunk in 1887; a second
            son Harry A. Strunk on March 3, 1889; and a third son Ralph H. Strunk on September
            8, 1890.
        
            The family moved from the homestead and timber claim in Garfield County, Nebraska
            to Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. In 1894 their daughter Cecil died. On September 6,
            1894 they were again blessed with the birth of their fourth son, 
                Gale Linn Strunk.
        
            In the spring of 1899 the family moved to Murry County, Minnesota (1900 Census:
            Lake Sarah Township). In 1903 they had another child that died at birth.
        
            On April 25, 1910 the US Census indicates Edwin & Ida are still living in Minnissota
            on a farm with with three of their six children, Harry, Ralph and Gale. Homer, now
            25 years old, has his own place on an adjacent farm. Some of Edwin's extended family
            is also living with them. His mother "Mattie", his youngest sister Katie, and his
            widowed aunt Malinda (Mortimer Strunk's sister).
        
            In 1915 Edwin and Ida moved to Whittier, California (listed in 1920 US Federal Census)
            where several of their children had settled. They resided at 143 N. Comstock Avenue
            in Whittier. They both lived the remainder of their lives in Whittier, California.
            Edwin died at 73 years old on May 2, 1933, followed by Ida May at 71 years old on
            November 3, 1937.
