UBY JEAN STRUNK was born September 10, 1925, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada where her parents were helping to bring in the crops on the Myers' family farm. They shortly returned to Whittier, California where Ruby enjoyed her youth, graduating from Whittier High School in 1943.
