George & Maud Molineux Family
George married
Maud Mary Colvin on July 1, 1899. Maud was from Aldershot, Hampshire which
is a big Army training town so they probably met while George was posted there.
Their first son, Frederick George Molineux, was born on May 10, 1900. Frederick
stayed in England and raised a family.
Their second son, Ernest Colvin Molineux, was born in December of 1902. Ernest emigrated
to the Far East. When the political turmoil heated up in Asia Ernest returned to
England from Shanghai, China on March 26, 1938.
George was posted to Alexandria, Egypt. George and Maud's next two sons were born
in Alexandria. Walter and Donald later emigrated to Australia where they raised
families and lived out their lives.
They were finally blessed with a daughter, Kathleen Freda Molineux.
On the fith of May, 1913, George retired after 26 years and four months of exemplary
service. He was discharged from Company "B" stationed on the Salisbury
Plain.
Upon discharge George and Maud resided at 131 Station Road, King's Heath, Birmingham.
George died on March 19, 1951 at the age of 83.
