(1831 - 1910)
Thomas Molineux was born in 1831 in Hagley, Worcestershire, England (not too far from Wolverhampton). He had three older brothers, two older sisters and one younger brother. They were all born in Hagley. In 1841 a 10 year old Thomas was a student at the Old Swinford Hospital, a male boarding school in Swindon, Worcestershire, founded in 1667.
Ten years later the 1851 UK Census shows 20-year-old Thomas as one of two male servants working for the Charles & Hannah Tandy family in Hagley, Worcestershire. Thomas went on to become a Revenue Officer which would become his permanent occupation.
Ann died in 1877, leaving Thomas a widower with five children to raise. Thomas returned to Hagley after Ann's death to raise the younger children with the assistance of his widowed mother-in-law, Sarah Marks, and a live-in servant named Jane Harley. The 1881 UK Census shows they lived on Park Street in Wellington parish just a few blocks from the train station.
By 1901 Thomas is retired, living with his daughter Frances and his older brother George at 29 Wood Street, Wollaston, Worcestershire, England. Thomas is now 70 and his brother is 75. Thomas died on the 26th of December, 1910 of pneumonia and heart failure. Thomas was 79 years old.
